Legal Assistance
Retirees should obtain legal assistance on most personal legal matters such as wills,
powers-of-attorney, filing federal and state income taxes, and reviewing contracts. Military
legal office priority is given to active duty personnel, so retirees are seen on a space available
basis.
Military legal assistance offices are located on almost every base, ship and installation. If

Note: Retirees residing overseas may have restrictions’ on privileges based upon
