TurboTAP.org Press Kit Now Available for Widest Dissemination
Below are marketing and communication documents that can be used by community members,
counselors and advisors, program managers, command leaders and media representatives to promote
DoD's new TurboTAP web portal:
www.TurboTAP.org.
This portal provides transition assistance planning tools that help connect transitioning
service members and their families to benefits, online resources (such as resume tools, job banks,
benefits calculators, preseparation and transition guides and checklists), and to the support
services they need when transitioning on and off active duty.
Information on the TurboTAP web portal has been specifically prepared for Active Duty members
as well as members of the National Guard and Reserve Components of all military services and is
accessible to them through
www.TurboTAP.org for life. Helpful resources are posted
for entry level, mid-career and retirement milestones. This web portal will be expanded each
year as new resources, benefits and functionality become available.
It is important for transitioners to know that they should establish their personal profile
and TurboTAP Account within 48 hours of attending a transition assistance program or as soon as
they learn about this new online resource. Their TurboTAP Account will match them to benefits
for which they may be eligible and will send them electronic alerts as benefits change and new
benefits and support tools are added.
